July-August Pakistan News of Muslim Peoples

In Pakistan, it is blazing hot: between 48°–53° Celsius, and often we have power cuts for 13 hours a day. This impacts people’s willingness to give time to us, as well as affecting our concentration and tempers! Our driver was sunburned on his back, which made it difficult for him to sit and drive. We need not only for us to cope, but for the authorities to overcome the electricity shortfall.
The correspondence courses are going well; the next step is to show the students they can know God personally. More volunteer leaders are needed to train: 26 attended a recent training, which was very encouraging. Without women in the teams we are unable to establish family house groups.
Brother G* drives an auto rickshaw and is an important part of our work. He is busy in his own village but hopes to move to another in a month’s time. “I am trusting that my sister and her husband will come to know Jesus this year.” He is also inviting his mother and father to the family camp this year.
We are holding a seekers’ camp from 24-30 June, and already have 45 participants who are eager to come.
One of our international families was able to obtain visas to go home to visit friends and family! They will now spend time sharing what God has been doing in Pakistan. Their two boys may need help to adjust to new friends and new situations whilst they are at home.
