Not perfect, but willing

Missions event in Mexico“God, give me 800 young people and I promise You we’re going to intercede for the nations of the earth,” said David Villanueva, the coordinator of the Transform Union and organiser of large mission events in Mexico. On the 24 March, about 800 people united in the auditorium of the ExpoForum in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico. Various missionary agencies participated in the event, called Expomision, as well as local ministries that have one common goal: to take the good news of salvation to the unreached.

OM Mexico was one of these agencies. “God is looking for people who are willing to believe, trust and give themselves entirely to glorify Jesus,” said Andres Mendez, leader of OM in Sonora. “We have believed and seen God at work amongst us and we know that He is calling us to seek and honour Him.” The event made it clear that God is not looking for perfect people, Andres says. “He is looking for people who are willing.”

The Expomision also gave the mission organisations a platform to share about the work they’re doing and give the young people an opportunity to get involved. OM Mexico is thankful for events like these, where they can connect with other organisations and meet new people interested in missions.
