Feeding body and soul

Preparing meals for food kitchenEnglish/Espanol

OM Panama's base is located very near one of the poorest areas of the mountainous town of Volcan. In response to this situation the team began running a food kitchen with the help of volunteers. At least 80-100 children visit twice a week, most of them from indigenous tribes. Meals of meat, vegetables, grains, milk and salads provide an excellent nutritional balance while students from OM's International School of Missions provide food for the spirit. Following evangelism programmes, other team members share personally with the kids and teens and give them counselling.

One family that is helped is Melania and her six malnourished children, who live in a house made of junk materials like plastic, used wood and tin. During the rainy season the house is full of water and everything is soaked. Sometimes the family eats just once or twice a day.

Please pray that OM Panama will have the funds to continue helping these destitute people in both a practical and spiritual way.
