“I thought it was more important that I speak from the heart,” said His Worship, Honourable John Banks, Mayor of Auckland City, indicating the page of notes he would not be using. The Mayor spoke with conviction and sincere affirmation for everything that Doulos and OM promotes.

“I am very pleased that you have come to overtly spread the word of Christ. We want you to know – you are very welcome to New Zealand.” The crowd ardently applauded, expressing their agreement with the Mayor’s vision for his people to turn back to the church, before following him to the book fair. After the ribbon cutting ceremony to officially open the book fair and commence the public programme, those gathered stayed to look among the many titles available on board, while several local news crews filmed and interviewed staff and guests.

Please pray for a harvest from the ministry of Doulos in New Zealand. Pray for divine appointments with people who live in and around Auckland. 

ALCALDE CON UNA VISIÓN PARA AUCKLAND

“Pensé que sería más importante si hablo desde el corazón”, dijo el Excelentísimo, Honorable John Banks, Alcalde de Auckland City, señalando las notas que no usaría. El Alcalde habló con convicción y sincera afirmación de todo lo que el Doulos y OM promueven.

“Estoy muy satisfecho de que ustedes hayan venido para propagar abiertamente la Palabra de Cristo. Queremos que sepan que son muy bienvenidos a Nueva Zelanda”. La audiencia aplaudió con entusiasmo demostrando su aprobación a la visión del Alcalde para que su pueblo regrese a las iglesias, luego todos lo siguieron a la exhibición de libros. Luego de la ceremonia de corte de cinta para oficializar la apertura de la exhibición y el comienzo de los programas para el público, los presentes recorrieron viendo la cantidad de títulos disponibles a bordo, mientras varios medios de comunicación local filmaban y entrevistaban a tripulantes y visitantes.

Por favor ora por una buena cosecha del ministerio del Doulos en Nueva Zelanda. Ora por encuentros con gente local preparados por el Señor.
