Grantley and Madelyn Sherwood on Logos Hope say that one of their prayers when the ship arrived in Denmark was, "Please let us connect with people here with whom we can build good, strong relationships." One Sunday morning Grantley went to check his son Samuel's bicycle before church because the family were planning to go for a ride after the service. Unfortunately, the bike was unfit to ride and needed to be scrapped. As Grantley came up the gangway he found a Danish couple asking the gangway watch if they could attend church on board. The watchman was trying to explain that regulations did not permit visitors outside normal visiting hours, unless hosted by a crewmember. Grantley overheard the conversation and, realising the couple's dilemma, offered to host them.

After enjoying the church service the Sherwoods were astonished when the pair suddenly asked them if they needed a bicycle! They hadn't known the family needed one, but said they'd come thinking they would like to bless someone with a bicycle. The following week they returned with an almost brand new bicycle, which the family now use to get out into the countryside. Their new friends visit the ship regularly and are almost like grandparents to the boys. Give thanks with this family that our God is a God of relationships, who is intimately involved in our lives.

DIOS Y LAS RUEDAS DE BICICLETA – Logos Hope
