“If you would only read the Quran for a week, you will become a Muslim,” encouraged the shopkeeper to his foreign customer next to the fruit stand. “Well, if you will read the Bible for a week, you have a deal. Let’s then see to whom God speaks!” The customer handed the shopkeeper a copy of the New Testament, saying: “This book is about Isa (Jesus) and he will speak to you.”

Many people in Islamic countries are touched by the power of the Scriptures if only they can lay their hands on it. Some watch Christian TV programs in the privacy of their homes, but would never admit it in public. Many have dreams or visions of Jesus in which He appears to them in white robes. In spite of all the restrictions, God still has his ways to transform the human heart.

Please pray that this shopkeeper will discover the truth about Jesus while he reads the Bible.

Contestó el cliente y le entregó un Nuevo Testamento diciendo, “Este libro habla de Isa (Jesús) y Él te hablará”

Muchos en países islámicos son tocados por el poder de las Escrituras, aún si solamente la toman con sus manos. Algunos ven programas de TV cristianos en lo privado de sus hogares, pero nunca lo admitirían en público. Muchos tienen sueños o visiones de Jesús con vestiduras blancas, en los que Él les habla. A pesar de todas las restricciones, Dios todavía tiene formas de transformar los corazones.
