Making a difference
Cambodia | OM International
It all started with the question, “Is there anything we can do for you?” After his visit to Sihanouk Province Hospital , James Kinch (Ireland) approached Dr. Chan Vibol, the Director of Sihanouk Province Hospital, to see how he could help. Dr. Vibol mentioned that a dilapidated building occupied by patients with HIV/AIDS needed renovation. A large group of people, many of whom had given up their one free day, volunteered to help, and Sihanoukville Province Hospital was full of crewmembers engaging with patients, delivering donations and renovating an old building that looked completely different when James and his team finished their two-day project. “Thank you for your service, it has made a difference,” said Dr. Chan Vibol.
