A place to stay - forever

Albania | OM International

A Crowd GathersDuring a street outreach, the local pastor started talking to a bystander, Sadiku, but Sadiku wanted to talk to someone else. “I want to speak to that Chinese man over there!” he said, indicating to an OMer from South Korea who was standing nearby. In the talk that followed, the OMer explained the Gospel to Sadiku and asked him if he would like to accept Jesus as his Saviour.

“Yes!” replied Sadiku, so easily that Charlie couldn’t believe his ears. Charlie put the question to Sadiku again, and again Sadiku said “Yes!” Charlie still had his doubts – maybe Sadiku was just curious to talk to a foreigner.

But the following Sunday, his doubts were dispelled. Even before the church service began, there was Sadiku waiting outside, and he turned up at the midweek prayer meeting too. Next he brought his wife and in-laws to church. This is his testimony: "My name is Sadiku, which means ‘to stay somewhere’. I have been wondering where to stay for so many years, but there was nowhere to stay. But now I have found the place to stay. This place is Jesus Christ who I will stay in forever.”
