A Very Special Performance

BoysFor a few months I have been running English classes for children in one of the villages nearby. Working with another teacher we teach over 50 children each week from basic English to conversation. 

At Christmas the children put on a ‘Feste’ for their families and some friends in a little bar. They came early to decorate the cafe and it was very festive being candlelit (no one noticed it was because we didn’t have any electricity!).

The children performed songs and poems they had learnt as well as acted out dramas and the nativity play. It was a great opportunity to share the Christmas message of God’s love with these children and families, many who do not believe. They received certificates of achievement and were rightly very proud.

Albania :: An American short-term team visits Durres and assists in having a week-long English camp for the local teenagers.
