New Life - Willing To Make Sacrifices

On a cold wet day a few weeks ago, team members began to place contact details of the local Turkish / English Fellowship on pieces of Gospel literature. It was their prayer to not only distribute this literature, but also to have conversations with people who were open to hear about God's love.

One team member stopped a young South Asian man who was walking towards him and asked, "Have you heard about Jesus?" This question provided an opening for the team member to share about God's love. The young man said that he no longer believed what his faith taught him and wanted to discover the truth. The man asked the team member for his phone number, and the following day, agreed to meet for two-hours. The man talked about his life, family and job, and learnt what it meant to become a follower of Jesus.

That Sunday, after six hours of talking, the young man was invited to join team members at the Yeni Yasam Fellowship. The message provided a basic foundation on how to become a believer and at the end of the meeting, the young man said, "I am ready to become a follower; I am willing to make the necessary sacrifices." The team prayed with this young man, as he prayed to have a new life in Jesus.
