SOUTH AFRICA

Love Makes a Difference
Praise God for nearly 100 children who are ministered to weekly at “Meetse a Bophelo” in Mamelodi. Thank Him for the transformation that is already taking place in their lives.

A Life Changed
Thank God for a young man in Mamelodi who has recently given his life to Christ. Pray that the OMers will have wisdom and love for him as they help him to follow Jesus.

Property Problems
AIDS HOPE needs permission to purchase the property in Mamelodi, as well as the finances to accomplish this. This is getting quite desperate now. Pray that God will give them favor with the officials who make these decisions and for His miraculous provision.

Waiting for the Bus
Ask the Lord to provide a bus for AIDS HOPE to transport children to and from school everyday, as well as equipment, people and funds for new projects.

The Missing Multitudes
Pray that God will provide the hundreds of participants still needed for outreaches during the World Cup.

Ten Thousand Prayers
Praise God that 10,000 prayer guides for the World Cup nations have been distributed and even more have been printed. May God use these intercessors to make Jesus Christ known among the visiting nations and South African communities.

Challenge of a Lifetime
OM South Africa’s Ultimate Goal Challenge outreach runs during the World Cup period: from 7 June-12 July. There is also a TeenStreet program during this time. Pray that these outreaches would bring many people into the kingdom of God.

Prepared for the Harvest
OM is offering training for churches and other organizations to equip them for ministry during the World Cup. Ask God to supply leaders and pray that this training will result in a good harvest in South Africa and in the whole world.

South African Hospitality
Remember the churches that will host teams during June and July. Ask God to give them wisdom and enthusiasm for this task.

Transportation across the Nation
Thank God for providing the vehicles needed for the outreaches. Pray for drivers to put in them.

Time is Ticking Away
Pray that the team in KwaZulu-Natal will have wisdom to know how to divide their time among different churches and pastors while preparing for the World Cup.

Flu Blues
Many of the trainees have been sick with a variety of stomach bugs. Please pray for healing and for protection against further illness for the whole team.

Going, Going, Gone
Five participants from Missions Discipleship Training (MDT) have already been sent out into the mission field. Please pray for the Spronks and their one year old son Levi, as they settle in Cape Town and start a new ministry. And remember the Czajko’s as they are working in Pretoria with the communications team and AIDS Hope/ IT.

Urban Episode
The MDT team leaves for an inner city outreach on May 10th. Please pray for divine appointments and good fellowship.

People Please
Pray that God will provide the personnel urgently needed in the Africa Area Office.

ANGOLA

Soul Hunger
Praise God that Angolans are hungry for Bibles and Christian books. Pray that they will not be deceived by literature from Jehovah’s Witnesses.

Libraries and Lecture Halls
Thank the Lord that a lecture hall and a small library have been completed at the school. Ask God to provide the necessary materials for another lecture hall and a small house.

The Homeless Team
The team in Luanda has recently lost their base location which makes it very difficult to continue the ministries already in progress. They are currently in need of accommodation, an office, and training facilities. Pray that God would give them the piece of land they want. Pray for protection over their belongings which
are in storage.

Travel Mercies
Pray for the various people that are planning to come on outreach visits to Angola. Pray that their visa applications will go smoothly and for travel safety.

Long Road to Marriage
Pray for Frans and Viorica who are planning to get married on the 5th of June in Namibia. They have been struggling with documents. Pray that they will have all the documentation for Viorica, from Moldova, to get married in Namibia.

LAKE TANGANYIKA

Village Life Remember Gift, Brian, Clifford and Felson who are working in villages around Lake Tanganyika. Pray that the leaders of the village in which they are
ministering will be supportive of them and that the people will be receptive and open to the Gospel. Pray that these missionaries will have wisdom as they build relationships and that they will have open hearts to trust God completely.

MALAWI

Hard Pressed but Not Crushed Intercede for the team in Malawi as they face many
difficulties such as witchcraft and increased efforts of other religions to put an end to their ministry. Ask God to help them and to give them opportunities to share the love of Christ with key people in the area.

NAMIBIA

Rain of Blessings
Praise the Lord for needed rain in Namibia and for the political stability in the country. Pray for God’s intervention in social problems such as crime, corruption, unemployment and poverty.

Taking the Next Step
Volker and Gisela are praying about their next step in ministry. Pray that God will lead them. And pray for a replacement for Gisela to do the finances for OM Namibia.

Full Calendars
Pray for OM missionaries as they are involved in various ministries: outreaches, trainings, marriage seminars, prayer journeys, and community projects. Remember Linda as she plans an outreach to Zambia during June.

Families and Orphans
The Namibian team are teaching and guiding young couples to be a blessing to each other within their marriages. Pray for this ministry as well as for their ministry that cares for orphans and reaches out to street children.

Pray for OM’s ministry in Namibia during the World Cup. They will be hosting big screen soccer events, life coach training, and kids programs in
various communities.

WEST AFRICA

Arrival in Africa
Please pray for the Logos Hope’s visit to West Africa: Sierra Leone (10-25 June), Ghana (29 June – 4 August) and Liberia (6-27 August). Please pray for a great harvest, for fruit that will last and for God to move deeply in the lives of the locals, churches and pastors.

ZAMBIA

The Children Jesus Loves
Remember missionaries who are teaching at village schools. Pray that God will give them wisdom and love as they instruct the learners. Ask for the Lord’s protection over these children especially from physical and sexual abuse.

Ministry Kickoff
World Cup Outreaches are also taking place in Zambia. Please pray that the programs will run smoothly and that local churches and communities will be transformed and challenged by these events. Ask God to provide the resources needed: balls, tents, generators, satellite dishes, and decoders.

ZIMBABWE

Beautiful Feet in Soccer Boots
Pray that churches will be committed to partnering with OM for the World Cup outreaches. Ask that the Lord will open the doors for this ministry and that a harvest of souls will be won for his kingdom. Pray for spiritual and physical strength, as well as wisdom and knowledge for the team as they minister.
