A mourning family searches for an answer

Moldova, Republic of | OM International

Bus 4 Life in the South of MoldovaThe Bus4Life is so big that you can’t really miss it. Even more so in a village, the bus attracts the attention of children, teenagers, drunken men and old ladies. Some of them are bold enough to enter the bus and find out what’s inside. Others resort to walking around the bus five times before asking their neighbours what it's about.

While half the team was talking and playing with the children outside the bus one afternoon, an elderly lady and two teenagers entered the bus. Before we could say anything, she asked us whether we had answers to all her questions. Her daughter, the mother of these two teenagers had recently died and she wanted to know why this had happened. Why could God not have protected her daughter from the accident? What happened to people when they died? What did we believe?

More family members were entering the bus by then, and Andrei was able to share his faith with them all. "No, I don’t have the answers to all your questions," he said. "But I know that God always cares for His children. God knows what is happening in every person’s life - He is always in control." When Andrei had finished speaking, he gave the elderly lady a book with questions and answers about the Christian faith.

*Please pray that this elderly lady and her family would read this book and find the answer to all their questions in a relationship with Jesus Christ.

*Thank God for the big impact the Bus4Life has had in many villages and towns in Moldova.

*Pray that God would use the Bus4Life from 3-14 May in the north of Moldova. Pray for wisdom and strength for team members, and for open doors and open hearts in the villages where they are planning to go.
