Power of Prayer

Albania | OM International

Over the past two years, Grace's family has been renting a house. "I've been nice to my landlady, Dafina," said Grace, "because I want to be a good witness. But I haven't talked to her about God much."

Although Grace had invited Dafina to a few women’s meetings, she could never go. Seeking God more than before, Grace started thinking about inviting Dafina to church because she knew that without God, there was no meaning in life. It was then that the church planned an Easter outreach.

"Three days before the meeting," continued Grace, "I visited Dafina and invited her to the meeting. This time she was able to attend, and brought her two daughters with her! As I was sitting with Dafina in the meeting, I prayed that God would open her heart. During the meeting I could see tears in her eyes."

After the meeting, Dafina said that she would like to attend more meetings, as she had really enjoyed it. However, sickness prevented her from coming each time - Grace started to pray.

Despite attending college in another city at the weekends, Dafina and her daughters attended church again, this time, 10 minutes early! Dafina received a Bible and has started reading in it, at times with her father-in-law, too.

Most of it is hard for them to understand, they say. Pray that God would open their eyes and hearts to understand the Truth.
