The rarest soccer fans
South Africa | OM International
For the second time in their history, the North Korean soccer team has made it to the World Cup. They have only a handful of fans in South Africa and most of those are from China. But the team has found a following in an unlikely place. OMers in South Africa are excited about watching the matches. Some are watching at home, others at big screen events, and even at the stadium. They also organized a prayer morning for North Korea, complete with maps, costumes and the nation’s flag. Special times of prayer will continue while the soccer team remains in South Africa. They are praying for peace between North and South Korea, for God’s blessing on this nation, and on the soccer team.
