Youth Summer Camp 2010

Nepal | OM International

young womenEach spring Nepali high school students complete the dreaded “SLC” exams and start a new summer lifestyle of freedom and boredom. They roam the city, play cards, and get together with friends.

This year OM Nepal offered an alternative way for Christian students to spend their time: a discipleship and outreach summer camp. Nepali churches took advantage of the opportunity and sent nineteen students from seven districts. Participants studied a variety of topics including time management, how to find their life partner, and their identity in Christ. They were then divided into three groups and sent out on one-week outreaches in areas north and east of Kathmandu.

The students who participated in the camp have now returned to their homes. We pray that they will continue to share what they learned, and their enthusiasm for outreach, with their churches and friends.
