Taking every opportunity

Kosovo | Lorraine Milton

Thumbs up for learning“Why are you here?” Members of OM Kosovo love this question. It gives an opportunity, no matter how small, to share the gospel.

During a bus ride recently, a teenage girl sat down in the empty seat next to OMer Lorraine (UK). The girl offered Lorraine a drink of water. Upon hearing Lorraine’s English accent, the girl’s eyes widened and she shared that she was studying English in Pristina and had also done some translating.

The girl asked, “Why are you here?” Lorraine told her how Kosovo had played a large part in her life since 2004, and that she and her husband, Chris, were helping the people of Kosovo by sharing about the dangers of drugs and raising hope for a healthy life.

Arranging to meet for coffee, the two parted company. A week later over coffee, the teenager asked Lorraine and Chris another question: “Why do you do what you do?” This opened the door for Loraine and Chris to share about Jesus and why they serve the people of Kosovo. 

The young girl listened, asked more questions and left looking very contemplative.

Please pray that the words this young girl heard will remain in their minds, and that deeper questions will arise in her heart.
