On the 9 June, OM Turning Point’s London Calling Outreach began. Forty-one Americans joined the OM Turning Point team for two weeks. All came with many different talents, eager to serve the Lord and people of London.

For many, this is not their first mission trip, but for Jeremy, it is. “I have never been on a mission trip and I don’t know how God is calling me, so this is a step to get my feet wet and see if this is what God wants for me.”

Another participant, Julia, said, “I’m really excited. I’m tired, but really excited for all that we are going to get to learn and experience. “

During these two weeks, the teams will gain knowledge of Islam, dive into the Bible and learn about how to share God’s love and grace with those of other faiths. They will have time in classes to learn and apply what they have learnt in hands-on ministry.

Kirsten shared, “I am hoping to learn more and grow in evangelism, especially to those that believe in something so different from me. I also hope to learn more about who God is and fall more in love with Him during this trip.”

Wanting to grow in their relationship with God, the participants are willing to stay open for God’s plans for their futures. They hope to be stretched by God and learn how to reach cultures that differ from their own.

Jeremy continued, “I hope to learn what my involvement in missions will be in the future and where God will place me.”

This is only the first week of the outreach, but God has already blessed the teams with bonding and new knowledge. OM Turning Point is excited and curious to see what God has planned for the rest of the outreach.
