Every Sunday in London you’ll find a varied group in Hyde Park at Speaker’s Corner. Since 1872 people have gathered at Speaker’s Corner to share their world and religious views.

Dennis*, a member of the OM Turning Point team, joined the crowd one recent Sunday and got into conversation with a Muslim whom does not trust the Bible. A man from Iraq also joined the discussion.

As Dennis listened to the Iraqi man speak, he was almost convinced that he was a follower of Jesus. But to his surprise, he discovered that the Iraqi was not a believer.

Dennis pulled the Iraqi man aside to have a one-on-one conversation. While the two of them spoke, the man told him of the many contradictions he had found within his holy book.

Trying to get to know him better, Dennis asked, “Have you ever read the Bible, or would you like to read the Bible?” The man responded, “No, I have not, but I would love to read the Bible!”

Taking a step of boldness, he posed an important question, “Do you want to become a follower of Jesus right now?” The man responded, “I’m not ready yet, I am still thinking.”

Dennis shared afterwards, “It was one of my best days in Speaker’s Corner. I found a Muslim who is thinking about Jesus!

Please pray that Dennis would see this Iraqi man again and have the opportunity to give him an Arabic Bible.
