Basketball team brings hope to Rome

"HOOPS OF HOPE," an American Christian semi-pro basketball team specialising in basketball events for kids, is visiting Rome, Italy, from March 25 to April 3.  OM Italy's Chuck and Krissie Cilano report their job will be to transport the team to local sports arenas where they will help distribute Hoops of Hope programmes with a gospel message, and Gospels of John.

"This is the team's second visit to Italy. The crowds are always excited to watch them, and during halftime they share their personal testimonies. At the end of each game is an awards ceremony, when the team members sign autographs and share their faith one-on-one with many people. The last time they were here we saw hundreds of young people go to centrecourt to make decisions for Christ. We know they had a profound effect on the youth who saw and heard them, and it's an honour to have them back."

Please pray that God will use the team once again to reach young people in Rome.
