Logos II ministry extended

OM International

Original plans called for Logos II to hand over her role to Logos Hope by the end of this year. Birkenhead, UK, was planned to be the final port of active service before berthing near Logos Hope in Bremen, Germany, to provide accommodation and other services during the outfitting time.

However, because of the delay in the conversion work of Logos Hope, the decision has been made that Logos II should continue to sail and serve until Logos Hope is ready. During the voyage from Takoradi, Ghana to Freetown, Sierra Leone, crewmembers met for prayer about the future of the ship. In small groups, people discussed aspects of the purpose statement —knowledge, help and hope. The room buzzed with conversations, and discussions continued after the formal gathering ended.

“It was exciting!” said Linda Bokinge (Sweden). “I am looking forward to what my future holds and what the ministry of the ship can be.”
