Smooth Sailing

Logos II :: Atlantic Crossing (1)Preparations for a long voyage begin well before departure. With Logos II facing an 18-day Atlantic crossing, the vessel had to be made ready for any eventuality. Before leaving Georgetown, Guyana, book fair staff thoroughly packed down and secured the books and shelves. In the literature holds, titles were relocated to be less affected by any strong or sudden movements. Crew also tidied shelves in their cabins, securing any lose items. In the end, the precautions turned out to be unneeded and crew were thankful for a smooth voyage to Las Palmas, Canary Islands.
