Sarah Brady (nee Dowling) writes: I went to see George Verwer speak at a missions event in 1993/94.  I thought he was a lunatic and said I would never join his organisation!  However, the name of his organisation didn’t register with me and in 1995 I found myself signing up for a two year stint on the Logos 2.  It was only when George came onboard that I realised my “mistake”!

Sailing with the Logos 2 was a wonderful experience.  I had only been a Christian for a couple of years, so it was a real time of learning even the basics of the bible.

After two years visiting about 15 ports between Bremen, Germany and Manzanillo, Mexico, I moved over to Doulos to do line-up.  My first port was Abu Dhabi, UAE (incidentally, Jonny Lindsay was on the line-up team too!).  It was quite a culture shock as it is a Muslim country.  Then on to Sydney, Australia for 10 months.

Returning to Ireland, I helped out as OM supported a church plant in Tramore, Co. Waterford for six months and attended IBI in Dublin after that.  In 2001 I met Peter Brady, fell in love and married a year later!  We now live in Navan and have two gorgeous children - Ruairí and Eimear.
