To the children's children

Italy | OM International

Sharing the good news about Jesus on the streets of Parma, Italy, teams met an Italian man in his 50s.  Antonio received a gospel tract and came back to talk with the team.  At first, he seemed very agressive, feeling that God had let him down.  Antonio shared how he had tried hard to follow the rules (as a devote Catholic) yet now his wife had left him and he had lost his job.  He felt his life was a mess.

The team shared that real hope is found in a relationship with God not in just following rules and that they believed their meeting was not by chance.  Asking if Antonio had a Bible at home they were amazed by his answer... "Yes, my grandfather was an evangelical Christian".

"we where toached to tears by this," one team member shared afterwards.  "God is a God of History.  He does not forget. He loves the  children of His children and His mercy is upon them.  We went away encouraged knowing that God prepares every conversation and as we prayed for Antonio we rejoiced in God's faithfulness towards us."
