To support the local church in reaching out to children in their community
We work with a local church in the town of Svilengrad in Bulgaria, which is on the border with Turkey and Greece. It is a small group of believer that are trying to reach their community. We will be accommodated by the church people in their homes. We will visit other village churches in the region during our time there.

Ministry Details
We will work alongside the church providing two hours of sports activities each morning at a local sports field. In the afternoon the children come to the church where we present a bible story together then break into smaller groups to teach English. Evening are spent either in village churches, with the church youth or relaxing together.
Participant Profile
People that like children of all ages. You might be someone that enjoys sports, but if you do not then it would great if you were willing to help simply to manage the children or station. You might be someone that is full of ideas and enthusiasm to teach english to others, or are ready to help someone that is leading a group in any way possible.
Accommodation:
We will stay with families or in the homes of believers in Svilengrad.
Food:
We will prepare both breakfast and lunches most days together as a group and then for the evening meal we will eat at a local simple cafe/canteen.
Travel:
You need to arrive in Sofia on the 17th August no later than 18:30, where you will be met and transported to Plovdiv for the first night, heading on to Svilengrad the following day.
You will be returned to Sofia airport on the 27th August. Please do not book flights before 12:00. If there are only flights available earlier than this, please communicate with us before booking your flights.

Health:
We could not accommodate people in wheelchairs, and if you are not able to cope with hot weather then this is not the place for you. We would expect you to be in good health. You will be requires to have health insurance for your time with us, and inform us of any health problems beforehand.
Visa:
Most people do not require a visa for Bulgaria but please check with your local travel agent just in case.
