Freedom Climb
Today, millions of women and children around the world are enslaved, trafficked, and oppressed. The Freedom Climb is an opportunity for women in all stages, ages, and places to be a voice for these women and children. The climb is a symbolic gesture of the struggle to freedom they face every day. From April 9 to 25, 44 women from all over the world will meet in Nepal and trek to the base camp of Mt. Everest and then summit the neighboring peak of Kala Phattar. When the climbers stand at the top of Kala Phattar, they will be declaring life and freedom for those who cannot speak for themselves.
Each climber has the goal of raising $10,000 toward OM projects that bring freedom to women and children, including micro-loans, education, skills training, and protection from exploitation. You can partner with these women by giving through the link below, or learn more at The Freedom Climb website.
