From Cambodia:In the heart of Phnom Penh’s slum district, our team is reaching out to child victims of sexual and physical abuse. Operating a daycare treatment and recovery center, the project brings physical and emotional healing to abused children, particularly younger girls.
From Sudan:
Our team is committed to making a difference in the lives of children and teens by providing them a safe haven and a better home than the streets of Sudan. Reaching out in four towns, this ministry has brought 150 boys in off the streets, and provided another 70 with a place to spend the day at a “drop-in” center in Darfur. (Plans are under way to make this a “live-in” center, too.) In their new home, these boys are loved and cared for. In addition to meeting physical and emotional needs, we provide academic and spiritual education and counseling to help them deal with the past and present, and give them a hope for the future. All of the boys have school in the mornings. In the afternoons the older boys have vocational training while the younger boys do various activities. The boys have devotions mornings and evenings and also attend church, Sunday school or youth groups. 95% of all the boys in the live-in centers come to faith in Jesus Christ.
