  • Alumni Coordinator
    5 hours per week
    Our Alumni Department keeps in contact with OMers who have returned home from the field: building relationships, praying, inviting them to events. Involves correspondence on a regular basis via phone, letter and email.

    Requirements:
    Loving heart, strong prayer life, good communication and relational skills

  • Audio/Visual Coordinator
    Appx 15 hours week

    Communicates with AV team, worship leaders and speakers about scheduling and AV needs. Handle scheduling of AV team for Tuesday and Thursday team development and prayer times. Maintain equipment. Train new AV team members.

    • Good verbal and written communication skills Willingness to learn and to train others
    • Ability to work with little supervision
    • Must be able to work at least 1/2 days on Tuesdays and Thursday mornings.
  • Online Bookstore Manager
    Appx 15 hours week
    Oversee content of online bookstore. Plan features, sales and online-store related events.
    • Add new items to the store including original descriptions.
    • Decide which items will be featured or on sale.
    • Start online book clubs in conjunction with marketing team.

    Requirements:   
    • Basic knowledge of HTML
    • Writing Skills
    • Knowledge of Marketing & Social Media/Networking
    • Management experience a plus.

  • Bookkeeping
    Our finance department needs volunteers to assist with bookkeeping on a seasonal basis.

    Requirements:
    Must have prior bookkeeping experience.

  • Bookstore Associates
    23 hours per month
    Volunteers are needed to assist in our bookstore assisting customers, filling online and phone orders, keeping inventory, etc. We also need occasional help manning booktables at missions conferences, churches and other special events.

    Requirements:
    Computer knowledge, experience with Excel is helpful, friendly attitude, love of books

  • College Recruiting
    12 hours per week
    The college ministries team needs volunteers to conduct follow-up phone calls with college students who have expressed an interest in missions as well as volunteers willing to stay in contact with college students who are involved in the application process for joining OM. Job duties would include making phone calls, sending emails, providing information, etc. Training is available.

    Requirements:
    A heart for college students and missions; strong prayer life; good communication and relational skills
  • Facilities/Grounds
    once/week, once/month, seasonal – individuals, groups.
    Everything from cleaning, painting, plumbing to cutting grass and pulling weeds. These opportunites are great for persons who want to do a group project or be involved on a sporadic basis.

    Requirements:
    Good attitude, willingness to work

  • OM Sports Link Marketing Assistant
    16 hours per month
    Write, edit and publish marketing and promotional material such as brochures, e-newsletters, and content for websites and social media.

    Requirements:
    • 18 years of age or older
    • Software skills in Adobe, MS Publisher, Word, Excel software
    • Skills in photo editing
    • Good communication skills
    • Familiar with social media: facebook, twitter, etc
    • Sports enthusiast

  • Photo Archivist
    5 hours per week
    • Review, photo-edit and catalog metadata of current photographic assets (including photographer, location, caption, key words, etc.).
    • Work with communications staff to develop and maintain effective strategies and systems for organizing and storing electronic images and related documentation through asset management software. Format and store all digital assets appropriate for OM’s permanent archives for successful retrieval.
    • Work with staff from across OM USA to provide appropriate, relevant photos that reflect OM’s visual identity.
    • Research opportunities to procure images to expand OM’s photo library.
    • Acquire images from other OM fields from OM's inter-field web database, direct communication with field workers, and from individuals traveling to other fields.

    Requirements:
    • Some knowledge of electronic graphics issues.
    • Familiar with Mac and PC platform.
    • Familiarity with image or asset management software desirable.
    • Knowledge of printing/web graphic procedures and terms. Understanding of resolution (DPI) and image file formats.
    • Analyze problems and implement appropriate solutions quickly and effectively.
    • Good conceptual thinking, writing, editing, and verbal communications.
  • Prayer Team
    20 hours per month
    Commit to gathering a group on a regular basis to pray for the world, OM, and other needs as reported. Coordinate and facilitate prayer meetings at church. Create initiatives such as adopting a country to pray for.

    Requirements:
    Strong prayer life, heart for missions and the lost

  • Short-Term Coordinator
    12 hours per week
    Prepare packets for mail out, file, shred, contact persons interested in going on short term trips, assist candidates with application process, enter data (duties depend on committment)

    Requirements:
    Computer knowledge, administrative abilities, good communication skills

Volunteer Locally, Make an Impact Globally

Make a significant impact on the world from right here in the United States. OM USA is a Christian missions organization located in Tyrone, Georgia (near Atlanta). We are looking for men and women who can commit their time, use their knowledge and share their experiences to make a difference in sharing the Gospel with the World. Volunteer opportunities exist for individuals and groups from one day to several months or even years. Volunteers have the opportunity to meet missionaries, encourage the work at OM USA and touch lives overseas for eternity. Helping at home, our volunteers are ordinary people doing extraordinary things!
