More Than a Show

Dustin and Katie Kelm have perhaps the most unusual form of ministry within OM Arts. Dustin performs for crowds around the world as he rides a variety of unicycles. Dustin, a world champion unicyclist, draws crowds who come to see his amazing stunts, and then he uses this opportunity to give a Gospel message. His recent tours have included outreaches in Jamaica, Bahamas, Switzerland, Kosovo, Bulgaria, Kenya, Turkey, Lebanon and Egypt.

In Egypt, Dustin was part of a team that performed for 22,500 people at a three-day festival. They worked alongside translators in presenting the Gospel at their performances. The events were broadcast through the Middle East, and more than 6,000 people indicated they put their faith in Christ through the outreach.

Dustin performed across the country of Turkey where he gave his testimony to crowds. After one show, Katie, who often dances at events, spoke with a young lady who was very moved by the performance and demonstration of the Gospel. She requested a Bible and even boldly displayed it for a group photo. In Kosovo, Katie was also privileged to pray with two teenagers who wanted to follow Jesus as their Savior. These are exciting happenings in countries that are predominantly Muslim.

In Kenya, Dustin had a busy week of performing in seven schools, four citywide festivals, three church services, one prison, one factory, and one public area, reaching a total of approximately 21,000 people. He was part of a team that partnered with two local churches who ministered through food distribution, job skill workshops, Vacation Bible School, medical clinics and his unicycle performances. Dustin says, “We prayed with a lot of people, both to receive Jesus and for their needs.”
