Reaching the Unreached through Dance
OM Arts International takes dancers on outreach, helping them use their abilities in ministry. This may include dancing in a park to draw a crowd
to hear the Gospel message, connecting with people through dance classes, or being part of a larger Gospel-centered performance. A recent, memorable experience was in Bosnia where a four-member team from the USA and the UK taught a dance workshop for approximately 80 kids. The students were from various religious and ethnic backgrounds, including Catholic, Eastern Orthodox, and Muslim. The team taught them an African dance, as well as a worship dance with the song "How Great is our God." The team says the best part was sharing with the kids the message of how Jesus Christ has transformed the dancers' lives. The team got to teach the students about prayer, explaining that God hears us when we speak to Him. It was amazing to see the joy on the students' faces while they danced, as well as to see them really take in the information shared.
