As we are called to fulfill the Great Commission, we must never forget that we are first of all called to the Great Command: “… love one another, as I have loved you.” (John 13:34) Jesus showed us that the two go hand in hand when he said, “By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” (John 13:35) We need each other. We are all called to “Bear one another’s burdens” (Gal. 6:2) and to “Encourage one another day after day” (Heb. 3:13). How We Take Care of Our Missionaries

OM USA has a team of Member Care staff called and equipped to assist cross-cultural workers sent out by OM USA to various fields. Whenever our field workers have questions or concerns, they can contact any of our Member Care staff. These relationships are first established during the OutBound conference which potential missionaries from the US attend as part of their process of joining OM. Once a new missionary is on the field of service, the Member Care team continues on in a supporting role and is available to be a point of contact to aid in their spiritual, emotional, and physically well-being. Our Member Care team also is available to debrief your time on the field upon transition and/or re-entry back to the US. Care from international Member Care networks to help provide and develop resources
