From the former Communist bloc countries in Central Asia to the far east Asian nations, Islam is as different as the countries themselves. The colorful Central Asian countries are warm and welcoming, and it's easy to share your faith and talk about spiritual matters, especially over a cup of tea or coffee. Many are Muslim by heritage, but are not devout in their practice. In the far east, the rituals of faith are much more a part of daily life. Dress is more traditional, and gender roles more defined. But no matter what the national culture, Muslims across Asia are known for their kindness and hospitality.
