Bus Stop

One OM team member was recently on a bus when the woman next to her began talking about Ramadan, the holy season when Muslims fast from sunrise to sunset.  It is a month for seeking God’s will.  The woman on the bus was finding the fast burdensome, especially in such hot weather.  The team member writes, “My heart was saddened by her heaviness, and I started to tell her about another way of life, where she wouldn’t have to keep to such laws in order to seek God’s will; or be weighed down by religious demands. I wished I had a copy of God’s Book to give her, so that she too could read of the freedom Jesus offers us all.  As I got off the bus, my husband met me. He had a copy with him in his bag, so I ran back to the bus stop, got on the bus again, and gave it to my burdened friend. She was so happy! As I stepped down off the bus, and the doors closed, my heart lifted: she would be able to read of His freedom after all. I continue to hope that she finds Him for herself.”  Please pray for those receiving Bibles and literature, that they would read and understand who Jesus is.  Thanks for your prayers.
