For centuries, the Islamic world has relied on supernatural phenomena for decision-making and life planning. Dreams and visions are accepted as valid means of guidance and direction. God is stepping into these dreams, appearing to people all over the Middle East, igniting curiosity and kindling a fire within that only He can quench. He uses these dreams to link the mysterious to the marvelous, and transport hope to the helpless. He already said He would do this:

“In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams. Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days, and they will prophesy.” (Acts 2:17, NIV) Heaven has an urgent agenda for the Islamic world. His program is clear. His schedule, unstoppable. His pursuit, relentless. God moves because He can do no other.

God chooses to partner with His beloved Church to bring His reconciliatory message through His written Word and through intentional cultural assimilation (aka missions). There are countless stories of Muslims who eventually embraced Christ, shaken by a troubling dream or vision, then profoundly stirred by a believer’s life.

How can a limitless God reach a limited-access people group? He does so in many ways, through dreams, and visions, and YOU. God is more than able to make a path in the wilderness and rivers in a dry desert (Isaiah 43:19). He can do it all by Himself, but chooses you to be His feet, His hands, His heart. What an awesome privilege to partner with Heaven in this way.
