Mission Extreme team members often walk hours, crossing several rivers to get to villages where they will minister

Nothing seems to bother the participants on Mission Extreme. They enjoying roughing it as they sleep on church floors and live on little more than rice and beans. Their joy comes from the people they are there to meet. One participant remembers, “When we spoke to a lady about God she said. ‘It was exactly what I needed to hear.’ God gave us the appointment to speak to her. She needed to hear God was there for her no matter what she was going through. God wants to use us everywhere for him so we should not choose to be bold just when it suits us, but to be bold always because God is with us always.”

Each six-week Mission Extreme outreach starts with a week of training in evangelism, a time to learn about drama, mime, and ministries of help like building and repairs. One team member said, “I have had a fantastic six weeks with OM. During the training week I learned so much. It has really helped me have a better understanding of God.” Another shared, “I enjoyed getting to know our group, different people from around the world. I shall miss everyone I met and had the opportunity to share with and work alongside with.”

Beyond the practical training and international team members, Mission Extreme is ultimately about seeing lives transformed by the Word of God. “The time I had with the indigenous people of Panama was an unbelievable experience. One that is so completely unique in my life. To be able to go so far out of my comfort zone and at the same time be able to share the gospel with some who have never heard it before is such a blessing. God used me in ways that I would have never expected. I thank God so much for the time I have spent in Panama with His people. It is something I will cherish always.”
