All over the world, abandoned children must live on the streets.  One OM ministry in Africa is reaching out to these neglected children at a center designed just for them.  One of the kids writes, “I lived with my parents, but I was very disobedient and did whatever I wanted.  I would come home at midnight and when my parents asked me not to do that I refused to listen.  I ran away, but the street is not a good place to live so I tried to take care of myself.  I ate scraps from restaurants and started taking addictive drugs and smoking cigarettes.

“One day a teacher from the center came to tell us there was a place where we could wash our clothes, have a bath and some food.  They also ran educational programs for us.  I started coming to the center more and more often and eventually started to live there.  I love the centre and feel like they have adopted me and taught me many things, like how to read and write and to do carpentry.  I would like to be either a doctor or carpenter one day.”

Please pray for this young man, and other residents of the center.  Pray for street kids worldwide, that the Lord would provide for them and lead them to believers who will care for them.
