Meeting Critical Needs

Logos Hope professional

Captain Tom Dyer of Logos Hope says, “Although we are a charity organization, we must meet international regulations and are required to have certified licensed deck and engineering officers.” He knows that these professionals are key to the continued ministry of Logos Hope.

Working beneath the ship can be grueling, but knowing the ship has a purpose helps workers keep going. “Under normal circumstances this type of work would be very hard for me,” says crewmember Nathan Wareley, “but in this situation it’s really fun.” Marine electrician Paul Kellner agrees, “I thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to help with this project and am seriously considering volunteering again sometime in the future.” He came as a short-term volunteer and says, “I was not disappointed on this trip.”

Logos Hope has a critical need for a permanent Chief Engineer, as well as other on board professionals, including two more engineers and several pipe fitter welders. Read about the engineer opportunities and welder options on the Logos Hope website.
