On Land

Logos Hope crewmembers are not anchored to the ship, so to speak. In ports, they set out in "hope teams", partnering with locals to help meet needs in nearby communities. In Sierra Leone, the founder of a local orphanage came aboard the ship to volunteer as a dishwasher. Meanwhile, crewmembers helped build a fence at the orphanage. One worker said, "The fence will not only serve to protect the children but also the crops that are grown there." And the orphanage founder said his time on the ship taught him to love, saying, "Even though I learned that before, I learned it more here!"Logos Hope walk

While in Europe, Logos Hope crewmembers prayed with people in a German coffeehouse, told stories of their time on the ship to school kids in The Netherlands, helped at a soup kitchen in Switzerland, and spoke at a youth concert in the UK. In other countries, the crew helped host medical clinics, build buildings, start libraries, and distribute eye glasses. These trips to shore expose Logos Hope team members not only to different cultures but diverse ministries as well. Maybe you can find where God is leading you through a two-year commitment to this OM ship.

Logos Hope has an urgent need for a permanent Chief Engineer, as well as two more engineers in the near future. Pipe fitter welders are also needed. See details about these engineer opportunities and the welder options.
