OM Ecuador helped a local foundation turn a field into a soccer league. The foundation is home to an orphanage and a school in a dangerous and impoverished neighborhood. Soccer seemed like a good way to introduce the ministry to other kids in the community. So the field was converted and kids began to find their way to the games. A league was formed. Now kids can practice warm-up exercises, learn soccer tips, hear Bible lessons, and eat snacks as part of the league programs. League leaders wants the kids to leave knowing they are loved by God.

But it’s not easy for the kids to leave. “When is the next program?” they want to know. OM Ecuador is thankful for the warm reception they’ve gotten in this otherwise tough community. They’ve seen changes in the kids, with many of them asking for Bibles so they can join in the Bible studies. It has been encouraging.

Please pray for the foundation and its people. Their building has been robbed repeatedly. Ask the Lord for protection and provision to keep the league in play.
