The birthplace of Judaism, Christianity and Islam, the region is overwhelmingly Muslim. But in some places, missionaries are seeing greater interest in the Gospel than in previous decades.  There are small numbers of Christians in every country (in some cases only a handful), many of them living as secret believers.

Also in the midst of this mostly Muslim region is Israel with its population of Jews, Christians and Muslims. The Middle East is home to many people devoutly seeking God—and a number of them are ready to encounter the Good News of Jesus.
