MDT exists in the UK to train disciples for mission in an urban context. The majority of the world, and most unreached peoples, now live in cities. Based in one of Europe’s most culturally diverse cities, MDT will invest in you through high quality training and mentoring, so that you can know God and His world better and meet the challenges of discipleship and participation in God’s mission to reach the unreached. This is followed by a Mission Placement of 2-9 months.
MDT provides 3 months intensive training where you will be challenged to grow deeper in your relationship with God. You will have a personal mentor who will accompany you on this journey. Enjoy multi-cultural team life and receive quality training in the classroom and watch live demonstrations of mission techniques from experienced urban missionaries.
MDT training will enable you to understand mission at the heart of God, equip you for effective communication of the Gospel across cultures, give you skills for a disciplined devotional life, tools for ministry, deeper understanding of yourself, as well developing team building and leadership skills. MDT overseas mission placement will give you the opportunity to serve God within an existing ministry in Europe or Asia.

“During our leisurely stroll, we came across a pigpen,” remembers Inger. “No more finely kept grass; it ended where the enclosure began. Beyond the fence, the inhabitants had trampled the turf into deep, moist mud. I commented on the squelchy state of their pen. To my surprise—and slight dismay—my father reached over the fence and started to scratch one of the pigs behind its ears...We watched. The pig appeared to like it.”
