Our goals for this Forum are as follows:
1) To teach and explore Heart Arts.
2) To create a space for participants in the fields of music, media production, and community leadership to network, learn from each other, and create together.
3) To provide a Biblical perspective in each of these fields.
4) To reinforce skills relevant to participants’ expertise, including songwriting, media production (including radio), and leading artists and media specialists. The Sounds of East Africa Media Forum is a 3-day conference to be held at Habari Maalum College in Arusha, Tanzania, for musicians, media specialists, and community leaders of varying kinds.
Available for: Singles Couples
We consider this Forum a “sparking” event, where participants are given the chance to learn something new, make new connections, and be enabled to create and promote arts with strong messages about Jesus that speak deeply to their audiences (i.e. Heart Arts). The arts and creativity by their nature make communities more vibrant. Media has power to distribute arts and creativity further. The two together are a powerful combination.
We are looking for both session facilitators and participants.
Session Facilitators: 1) Live Sound Engineer (break out session), 2) Biblical Worship speaker (plenary session) 3) Biblical Arts speaker (plenary session)
Participants: We are looking for a few sound engineers with field production experience to attend as participants. All sessions will be hands on, and participants will be encouraged to learn from each other, and so these engineers will have plenty of opportunity to share their skills and knowledge even though they are not officially facilitating sessions.
