Summer Madness is a mix of worship, fun, biblical training, sports, studies and crazy outdoor games. It's a conference that brings together young people from all backgrounds to celebrate, connect and explore the significance of faith in today’s world.
And after the conference...the outreach! A great opportunity to put what you've learned into practice.
With a focus on youth, the main activities will take place in communities where there are opportunities for healthy community action.
The work will be carried out by teams of young people from across NI and further afield, in partnership with churches and community groups already working or who wish to begin new projects in the areas.
Activities will include street cleaning, kids clubs, community BBQs, detached youth work, mural painting and more.
On 5th July we will hold community celebration events in the town areas we have been working in.
Do you want to share your faith and bring hope to the local community in Northern Ireland? Well then this is the outreach for you. You must be able to hold a simple conversation in English. Previous experience in ministry is not required.
Camping - bring your own sleeping mat, sleeping bag and pillow etc. Tents will be provided.
Meals will be provided, and we will do all we can to accommodate any dietary requirements but we will need to know in advance of any dietary requirements or food allergies.
When accepted, book flights to Belfast international Airport (BFS). You'll be collected from the airport and taken to the event. At the end of the outreach we will take you back to the airport. If not flying, contact us for details.
Please See "Travel".
You should be in average good health and able to walk a reasonable distance without difficulty. If you think this requirement rules you out, talk to us and we will see what adjustments we may be able to make for you.
