HIGH-LEVEL OBJECTIVES:
- Establish and achieve annual generosity revenue goals for OM USA’s funding priorities, with an increase in giving year over year
- Annually increase the number of new donors who give at the Mid-Level, improve annual retention of existing ML donors, and annually increase the amount given from MLDs
- Maintain efficiency targets including cost-to-raise-a-dollar, and ROI
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Establish an annual “Logframe” and revenue goals in consultation with your supervisor
- Implement a gift acquisition and stewardship strategy for prospects and donors capable of annual gifts between $5,000 and $25,000
- Set production goals and utilize an activity calendar to realize revenue objectives
- Identify, cultivate, solicit, steward, and retain qualified relationships in an MLD portfolio, and apply a moves management approach to the portfolio
- Create high-quality, compelling proposals and stewardship reports
- Identify Planned Giving potential. Work in collaboration with the Planned Giving office to educate and provide planned gift opportunities for donors
- Improve ML donor satisfaction scores annually
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Partner with and oversee the work of the Mid-Level Donor Manager
- Engage qualified interns, through the US Internship program, to serve in the Mid-Level department each term
- Recruit and hire contract workers and volunteers as needed
FOCUSED RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Segment (new, sustained, and upgraded) and manage relationships with approximately 250 donors (qualified and potential)
- Identify new prospects by GG staff support, and through research and personal networking
- Create hundreds of regular engagement “touches” annually with individuals using face-to-face meetings, video conferences, and webinars, as well as print mail, social marketing, events, volunteers, etc.
- Communicate persuasively OM’s vision, mission, and funding priorities
- Meet donor’s stewardship objectives and OM’s funding goals with a servant’s heart
CREDENTIALS/REQUIRED EDUCATION:
- An individual of unquestionable integrity whose professional and personal conduct reflects our values
- A committed Christian in agreement with OM USA Statement of Faith and mission
- 5-7 years of significant prior transferable professional experience required, with a preference for a successful experience in front-line relational fundraising at the five-figure level
- Demonstrate a quality of spiritual life that is an example to others
- The ability to ignite a passion and to create and communicate excitement about our mission
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to write and speak clearly and effectively, and to listen, and an unusual capacity to engage, inspire and persuade
- Ability to invite financial gifts from individuals
- Ability to engage CEO, senior managers, field leaders and board members in donor visits, and to earn and maintain their confidence
- A self-starter with a high level of energy, self-confidence, and a positive “can-do” attitude are essential, as is humility
- Able to handle security sensitive information and maintain confidentiality
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize assigned tasks
- Demonstrated competence in today’s electronic environment and ability to learn
- Proven ability to hire, train, lead and inspire a diverse team
- BA/BS and or CFRE preferred
