OVERVIEW:

• Caring for and cultivating foliage including planting, fertilizing, weeding, watering, trimming and pruning, soil conditioning, mulching, and applying pesticides”
• Provide training and direction for volunteers and other staff to support Community Environment activities.
• Ensure all equipment is properly cleaned, maintained, and stored. Report the need for equipment repair. Requisition consumables and equipment as needed.
• Assist with the activities involved in hosting events, conferences, and meetings as requested.
• Move furnishings and make minor repairs as needed.
• Drive truck to pick up supplies, deliver items and unload and store supplies.
• Assist to organize equipment and supplies as requested.
• Operating and maintaining garden and landscaping equipment
• Preparing outdoor areas for various weather conditions by weatherproofing, covering outdoor furniture with tarps, tying down unsecured items, etc
• Ensuring pathways, stairs, outdoor seating and other structures are safe

FOCUSED RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Safely operate maintenance equipment including lawnmowers, leaf blowers, and hedge trimmers
• Manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Work in a variety of outside conditions for long periods of time
