MediaWorks is looking for a candidate who has a high attention to detail and the stamina to work as a Desktop Publisher/Layout designer. As you collaborate with our local partners and do the groundwork of laying out and editing texts in different languages for print and digital media, you will play a part in producing high-quality media that shares God’s truth with least reached people groups.

Information & Requirements

We are looking for a Layout Designer to strengthen our Media Creation team. Your role is to ensure that the text and images in the final design are readable and balanced. Through your work, you will make it possible to create high-quality media that shares God’s love with the least reached in their heart languages.

Your responsibilities:
– understanding the design requirements and gathering information and material needed for a project,
– framing page elements, which include text and images,
– ensuring proper spacing and arrangement of text,
– using fitting font size, style, color schemes, altering images to improve the look of the design
– taking and implementing feedback from the team members,
– providing files for editors, entering and checking corrections,
– making changes to the design and producing final design,
– ensuring the design is visually appealing and displays correctly in all target formats,
– maintaining a healthy relationship with our local partners and presenting the final design to them,
– working on several projects simultaneously,
– staying updated with the latest trends.

– intimate relationship with Jesus,
– basic background in design,
– work experience as a Layout Designer or a similar position in the Design industry (preferred but not required),
– a strong portfolio of layout and designs (preferred but not required),
– proficiency in layout and design software such as Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and others (preferred but not required),
– a keen eye for detail and accuracy,
– good computer skills, experience using Microsoft Office tools,
– ability to learn new software,
– artistic abilities,
– ability to work in team as well as independently,
– good verbal and written communication skills,
– good organizational skills.

In this role, it is possible to work locally in our office near Vienna, Austria, or remotely.
